Fashion from the 1990s is back, and with it comes the resurgence of color-shifting paint, a favorite from the tuning scene of that era. RTR Vehicles, known for its performance enhancements in collaboration with Ford and professional drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr., now offers this vibrant paint option for its modified Mustangs.

What Is Mystichrome Paint?

Ford's Mystichrome paint, originally introduced as Mystic on the 1996 Mustang SVT Cobra and later updated for the 2004 Mustang SVT Cobra, is making a grand return. This prismatic finish shifts colors based on light and viewing angle, displaying hues of blue, green, gold, purple, and brown. RTR's Extended Color Palette includes this paint along with other striking options like Hyper Lime, Leadfoot Gray, Azure Blue, and more.

How Much Does a Mystichrome Paint Job Cost?

Special paint finishes start at $8,995, with premium options like Mystichrome priced at $15,995. Customers can also opt for a Paint to Sample Program, allowing for personalized colors akin to luxury brands. RTR extends its upgrades to other models, including the Mustang Mach-E and Bronco Sport, though Mystichrome availability for these vehicles is yet to be confirmed.

Expect to get the Multichromatic paint at Lithia Ford Idaho Falls as soon as it becomes available.
